I love it when Hulu gives me the chance to watch one long commercial before a show begins so that it can then go uninterrupted for the entire episode. I always say yes.
The commercial this time was only a minute long, which is typically less than half of the duration of total commercials shown otherwise.

I am so sick and tired of these political commercials. I figured that watching shows online would save me from seeing them, but they have been plaguing Hulu all day and throughout the past couple weeks.
Tuesday can’t come soon enough.

Watching TV shows on DVD totally throws me off when I watch shows on cable. I go from waiting .5 seconds for the next scene to waiting 3 minutes.

CBS Stinks
The online player for CBS.com TV shows is horrendous. Not only does the volume start out at ear-splitting levels, but the shows often skip or stop loading halfway through an episode, forcing a page refresh and then skipping ahead to the scene you were at. This of course assumes that you’re actually able to watch an episode instead of weekly highlights for half the shows they have.
CBS, take a look at Hulu and regroup. If not for yourselves, then for the betterment of online TV viewers everywhere.

Is it me or do Fringe and Eleventh Hour seem very similar?
Albeit, one deals more with the supernatural side of science while the other deals with, well, not as entertaining science, but I digress.
Both have their own respective geniuses who are far removed from the normal world in both their actions and personalities.
Both also have their own respective “protectors” who act as their translator for the genius’ often erratic train of thought and actions.
Its too hard to say which show will survive. If I had to choose though, I’d give the preliminary nod to Fringe, the characters and stories are far more interesting.
On an unrelated note, Hulu’s (Fringe) online viewing experience is far better than CBS’ (Eleventh Hour).
