Bolt Is World’s Fastest — by a Mile
In keeping with the Olympic trend. Usain Bolt is by far, one of the best runners I have ever seen. Down to his emulation of Michael Johnson with the golden spikes, he can compete with the best.
Never have I seen a runner make the 100m look so effortless.
Hats off to you Usain.

Things haven’t changed a bit since January :(
With the release of Firefox 3, the Mozilla Foundation decided to try and create break the Guinness World Record for most downloads in 24 hours. I can’t blame them, Firefox is still trying to obtain a large market share in the internet browsing world, this is great publicity for them. Starting at 2:16PM EST yesterday, the timer started, and I downloaded it last night somewhere around 7PM, so I guess I was downloader 2,000,000 or something, who knows.
Earlier today though, I discovered that Mozilla had been publicly tracking downloads across the world, with detailed numbers for each country. After browsing the map, I noticed that quite a few countries (Chad, Turkmenistan, and Somalia, just to name some) had download numbers in single or double digits only. After some very slow mousing, I stopped on French Guiana and was surprised to see that their download total was at 0. What gives?
Don’t worry, I’m not picking on French Guiana, I also could have chosen from North Korea, Guinea-bissau, South Georgia And The South Sandwich Islands, Timor-leste, Western Sahara, or Svalbard And Jan Mayen, whatever the hell that is.
