It seems like I can never catch a break with Google’s Gmail Notifier.
Last week, Google announced that they were now offering the ability to force an account to use https at all times for greater security. Being the security freak that I am, I naturally enabled this. Of course, something broke as a result.
Gmail Notifier suddenly stopped alerting me as to when new mail would arrive (because of the switch from http to https I would assume). So after some googling, I found this short how-to and Gmail Notifier is back in action. Until Google releases an official update (which will probably be exactly what this article outlines), this will fill in wonderfully.
